STAINED GLASS WINDOWS
These exquisite windows were originally installed in September, 1925. Material was furnished by Emil Frei Art Glass Co. of St. Lous, Missouri. The designs and creations were done in the Frei Studio in Munich, Germany by German craftsmen.
The windows include four large triple panels and eight small aisle windows. The four large windows portray the main events in the life of Christ with the corresponding scripture references worked into the desigs. The four events are the Nativity, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension.
The small windows depict primary symbols of the Christian faith such as the Anchor of Hope, the Wheat representing the Harvest of God's Gifts, the open Bible with its liberating message of salvation, the Cross and Crown representing the suffering and victory of Christ and Christians, the Lamb of God whose sacrifice frees all humankind, the Alpha and Omega of Christ as the beginning and ending, the Dove of Peace and the Triangle with the Eye representing both the Trinity and God's all-seeing eye.
